Un pneu sur-gonfl\u00e9 ou sous-gonfl\u00e9 est un pneu qui risque de souffrir d\u2019une usure asym\u00e9trique \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur ou \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur de la structure et sur la bande de roulement. Concr\u00e8tement, la limite l\u00e9gale du t\u00e9moin d\u2019usure du pneu (repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par la hauteur de la gomme) est de 1,6mm. En-dessous de ce niveau, le pneumatique est \u00e0 son niveau le plus faible d\u2019adh\u00e9rence et risque de causer des probl\u00e8mes surtout sur sol mouill\u00e9.
