Les frottements et les pertes internes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 minimis\u00e9s. Le turbocompresseur r\u00e9agit imm\u00e9diatement, permettant la d\u00e9livrance d\u2019un couple important \u00e0 bas r\u00e9gime. Les moteurs sont accoupl\u00e9s \u00e0 une bo\u00eete de vitesses manuelle \u00e0 six rapports ou \u00e0 une bo\u00eete automatique \u00e0 huit vitesses dont les passages sont particuli\u00e8rement fluides. L\u2019\u00e9quipe d\u2019ing\u00e9nieurs de R\u00fcsselsheim a beaucoup travaill\u00e9 sur la r\u00e9duction de la masse : le nouveau Mokka gagne jusqu\u2019\u00e0 120 kg par rapport \u00e0 la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. Ils en ont profit\u00e9 pour am\u00e9liorer aussi la rigidit\u00e9 de la caisse.
